MULE DEER HUNTS
Rawhide is best known for our Muley's and remains our most popular hunt to date. so it’s no surprise we have 4th generation hunters lined up for years to come. Our average Mule Deer scores between 155 and 175; however, we have had countless numbers make Boone and Crocket, scoring well over 180+. At Rawhide, we only hunt only mature bucks.
We offer both Rifle and Archery Mule Deer hunts, customizing each hunt to your specific needs. If you are looking for a challenging hike up the hills or a laid-back gentleman’s hunt, our Mule Deer are plentiful, so regardless of your skill level or desire, while it’s still “hunting” and we do hunt hard, we are confident you will be successful.
Our mule deer hunts are all on privately owned, leased land and are fair chase only; this is not a high fenced hunt.
Application dates: January 1 – May 31
We hunt REGION C, AREA 17 and limit the number of Mule Deer hunters a total of 15, so as you can imagine, we book up quickly.
Archery Mule Deer season runs from September 1 – September 30
Rifle Mule Deer season runs from October 1 – October 20
Wyoming sets aside 40% of nonresident deer licenses for applicants paying a higher fee. Applicants who pay the extra fee for a SPECIAL FULL PRICE DEER license will participate in a separate preference point and random computer drawing.
Currently, Wyoming limits hunters to EITHER hunting Mule Deer OR Whitetail. You cannot hunt both species in one season.
We STRONGLY recommend paying the additional license fee to
maximize your drawing odds.
